My name is Paul Nolan and I am now offering my services as an online Tutor. I have over 20 years of teaching experience, across three Key Stages, with the majority of my time spent teaching Year 5 and Year 6 – so I am familiar with both the SATs and 11+ exams. I have been teaching part-time for the last three years, as a self-employed teacher, so that I can focus on my writing career. I am an acclaimed children’s author ( check me out at http://www.paulnolanauthor.co.uk ) with four published titles and I have had the pleasure of visiting over 50 schools to deliver my Creative Writing and Historical Workshops.
As well as being a published children’s author, I have also been a Deputy Headteacher, with a specialism in Primary Reading and Writing, making me well-qualified to help children improve their all-important literacy skills. I spend much of my time passing on to children the tricks of my trade – allowing them to develop their writing skills – and would be delighted to do so for your children.
In class, I am a creative, patient and supportive teacher and I would be exactly the same online. I have a wealth of experience and resources that I can use to ensure your child receives the support they need to make progress.
Sessions are run online via online services such as video service called Zoom or Microsoft Skype or Teams. It’s available for your PC, Latptop, Mac, IPad, tablet etc and is free to use. As the tutor, I will send you an appointment via email with a link to the session that starts promptly at the booked time. It would be really helpful if you could tell me the age and name of your child and anything that you would like me to cover in particular. That way I can be fully prepared for the session and have resources ready! Before the session please ensure you have downloaded the app and ensure the video and audio are working correctly.
