Entrance Criteria

School: Wilmington Grammar School for Boys


Entry to Wilmington Grammar School for Boys is via the Kent Procedure for Entrance to Secondary Schools Education age 11 Assessment Tests (PESE, 11+). Applications for places to start in Year 7 must be made through your Local Education Authority using the Secondary Common Application Form (SCAF). Your son’s primary school will have copies of your LEA Admission to Secondary School booklet which provides information on the admission process for transfer from Year 6 to Year 7. Applications can be made online through your LEA website or using the SCAF.

WGSB offers students a number of opportunities to develop skills and gain experiences outside of the normal curriculum.  There is a great breadth of extra-curriculum subjects and activities offered by WGSB teaching staff or via visiting personnel.  Additionally, staff schedule regular revision sessions for those nearing exams.
