A feature of the School is the remarkable number of clubs and activities.  Meeting on a weekly basis is abroad array of clubs and societies including: Christian Union, Debating, Film Clubs, Garden Club, Programming Club, Young Engineers, Medical Society, Philosophy Society, Potions Club, MUNGA, etc. Many are student led.

At The Judd School they are keen to encourage and support their students in the widest possible range of musical activities, both within and beyond the usual curricular music lessons. Many pupils are involved in musical activities on a weekly basis.  These include 4 Choirs, 2 Orchestras, String Orchestra, Wind Band, Brass group, String Quartet, Samba Band, Big Band, and Rockistry (an after-hours rock school). Regular concerts are given throughout the year.

 

The school's Combined Cadet Force helps develop powers of leadership by means of training to promote the qualities of responsibility, self-reliance, resourcefulness, endurance and perseverance.


The school participates in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, which is a voluntary programme intended to develop or improve skills, physical ability and self-motivation in young people. This is done in four different sections – volunteering, physical, skills and expedition.
