KEGS is proud of its range of lunchtime and after-school clubs and activities. There are orchestras and choirs, ensembles, concerts, musicals and plays. There are regular fixtures at local and national level against other schools for all age groups in the major team games (rugby, cricket, football, tennis, athletics, basketball, badminton and table-tennis).
Diverse activities offered include a flourishing Combined Cadet Force (CCF), the KEGS Corps of Drums, the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and the Young Engineers Club. There are numerous other clubs and societies, such as chess, quiz teams, language clubs, community service, fundraising for charity, debating club, arts clubs and local, national and international visits and trips and foreign exchanges. KEGS has partner schools around the world and its close proximity to Europe means that the school has a particularly strong programme of cultural and educational activities abroad.
