King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Boys
- Vision & Values

The school website states: 'Camp Hill Boys is an outstanding school academically, as our position in league tables year on year shows. This is down not only to the incredible standard of teaching we receive, but also the mentality the school helps to instill in its pupils. What I personally value most about Camp Hill academics is that we not only work hard, but we are taught how to work hard. We learn to be efficient in our work, leaving time for the plethora of extra-curricular activities Camp Hill has to offer. We focus on delivering an all-encompassing education for our students, providing a platform for students of all interests to excel, be it in sport, music or drama. The opportunities to achieve both in and out of the classroom here are phenomenal.'

School Extracurricular

The school places great emphasis on the value of extracurricular activity to the provision of a well-rounded education. It is proud of the quality and variety of what is made available. The aim is to create as many opportunities as possible for all pupils to participate. This is partly achieved through the operation of a flourishing House system, which exists mainly for games purposes. Excellence is encouraged through competition, especially in sport, within the House activities and against other schools. Each year, a number of pupils are encouraged to achieve representative honours at county, regional, and national level.  In 2016 they introduced the Duke of Edinburgh award into their extra-curricular programme.

A wide range of sports is played at the school, including Rugby, Cricket, Hockey, Soccer, Basketball, Badminton, Tennis, Cross-Country Running, Fencing, Athletics and Swimming. Practices and fixtures for school teams in these sports take place at lunchtime, after school and on Saturdays.

The quality and quantity of music at Camp Hill is outstanding, enhanced by the most up-to-date facilities and expert tuition. Pupils are encouraged to perform in concerts at school and every year around 45 of them also play in one of the City Orchestras or ensembles.

A number of clubs and societies meet regularly in the lunch hour. Exchanges, trips and sports tours abroad occur frequently during holidays.
