Entrance Criteria
School: Haberdashers' Adams
Admission is based on the results of the Entrance Test. The Test is administered as part of a Consortium of Grammar Schools in Shropshire, Walsall & Wolverhampton. The Test comprises two papers, each of approximately 60 minutes. The papers are divided into smaller, individually timed, sections which test: verbal ability/non-verbal ability and numerical ability. Children complete all answers on an OMR answer sheet. Questions take a multiple-choice format and the test instructions and timings are delivered via an audio recording.
The school welcomes boys aged 11-18 as day boys or boarders.

In addition to the huge variety of opportunities available through the House system, the school offers a broad range of extra-curricular activities. Clubs and societies include a thriving Combined Cadet Force (CCF) and an active Duke of Edinburgh award scheme, enabling the natural spirit of adventure to be exploited to the full. There is even the chance to go flying for those that chose the CCF RAF. In contrast, clubs such as Art, Astronomy, Debating and Creative Writing allow students to immerse themselves in a subject they enjoy without the pressure of studying towards an exam.
