Chelmsford County High School for Girls
- Vision & Values

The school website states: 'Chelmsford County High School is a highly selective state grammar school for girls. Students who wish to enter Year 7 at 11 years old take a rigorous entrance examination. The competition for places is fierce. The academic pace is fast and we teach some of the most able girls in the country.

We aim to produce the leaders of tomorrow and prepare all our students to take an active and professional role in their adult lives. We hope that they will rise to hold decision making positions in society and that they will be able to influence what happens in the world.'

School Extracurricular

Chelmsford County High School prides itself on offering a broad and enriching experience for students. To this end, they recognise that learning does not take place only in the classroom. Extra-curricular activities allow students to deepen their interests and broaden their horizons. It is for these reasons that they strongly advise students to get involved so they can become full members of the School community. A rich and vibrant culture of extra-curricular activities exists at the School. Students participate in activities during lunchtimes, after school and over weekends. Crucially, these activities allow students to organise and take responsibility for events, thus allowing them to develop their leadership skills.

They have published a CCHS Curriculum Enrichment Booklet to provide a detailed account of the activities and trips relating to our five Enrichment Days. It also provides information on enrichment opportunities which sit outside these five formal days. The booklet provides a rationale and context for the wealth of activities and opportunities on offer to students throughout the school, please click here.
