11Plus Resources For Schools
Over the years, we have worked alongside schools to provide 11+ resources and, in some cases, to devise entrance exams for secondary selective schools.
With more and more primary schools being required to offer free 11-Plus clubs and mock tests, we can help prepare children not only for exam conditions but also teach the understanding and subject knowledge needed to answer the questions effectively. Thanks to the Swot Test Centre, schools can be helped with issues like time-tabling, logistic and budgetary considerations as well.
How Can We Help Primary/Prep Schools?
Of course, we can provide practice papers tailored to the subjects and format required by your local grammar/selective school (or just generic GL or CEM practice). However, our Swot Test Centre offers schools the facility to offer one pupil or a whole class online practice tests. These tests can be full timed tests mimicking the actual entrance exam or, using our Topic Genius software, shorter area-specific tests, eg fractions, spellings, codes, figure recognition, shapes, equations and so on. Tests are automatically marked, saving precious teacher hours and results can be tracked over time as a useful assessment tool for teachers.
In addition, thanks to Swot's How-To Video Tutorials, pupils also have a teaching aid (explanations, exam tips and technique) as well as a practice resource, again meaning classes can be held by non-teaching staff, saving time and money.
Such A Great Resource Must Be Expensive?
No, not really, in fact it could actually make the school money!
The more pupils that use the system, the cheaper the cost becomes per pupil (whether it is pdf downloads or online testing you want). If you also take into account how teacher hours can be minimised, it is easy to see how savings could be made too.
In addition, we offer the facility for schools to signpost the Swot experience to parents for their children to use in the comfort of their own homes, perhaps as a homework tool. More practice means improved results for the school and everyone is a winner. Schools can send each parent an 'affiliate link' direct to the Swot site and, with each sign-up, the school makes a commission, which goes directly into school funds.
As a family business, we feel passionately that every child that wants to attempt the 11+ should have the resources and feel prepared. This is why we offer FREE online practice to children on the Pupil Premium Grant.
